this is how vegan’s make delicious mac and cheese [it’s also the easy & expensive way, buuut, you know].  i don’t usually buy fake cheese [or meat for the matter], so when i do, i only get the good shit.  =]  different kinds of fake cheese are good for different things.  this is what i get for my mac and cheese.
it’s so good, mind you, that when i made it for six people, only one of which was vegan, everyone ate all of it, and that was the mozzerella flavor!
i won’t say it tastes like cheese, because to be honest, i’m not sure exactly what cheese tastes like anymore.  but.  i can say it’s certainly very freaking good.

a.e.t.a. is bullshit. »

if you haven’t heard of it, read up.  it pretty much makes it illegal to protest, more less tell corporations to chill out and stop abusing animals and using them as units of productions instead of living, breathing creatures.

i used the phrase living, breathing creatures twice tonight.  synonyms go?

as you can see, this originates from farmsanctuary.org.  go there.  learn something.
however, if you go to cattlenetwork.com, they seem to think these insanely basic requirements are not measurements to prevent cruelty at all but rather to get in their way:
“Proposed farm animal cruelty legislation in Ohio would likely amend Ohio ‘s animal cruelty law. Ohio Revised Code 959.13 currently states that a person may not torture, beat, mutilate or kill any animal, deprive an animal of food or water, confine an animal without access to shelter from wind, rain, snow and excessive sunlight, carry or convey an animal in an inhumane manner, or confine animals in railroad cars for more than 28 hours without food and water. For animals other than cattle, poultry, fowl, swine, sheep or goats, a person may not confine an animal in an enclosure without providing it with exercise and a change of air.”
now, call me crazy, but i think violating any of those [shouldbe]rights IS cruelty.  but.  then again.  these are units of production!  I FORGOT.  they’re not living, breathing creatures.  oh, silly me.  and this is the CURRENT law.  they’re complaining because the HSUS has been helping pass laws that prevent further cruelties to farmed animals, and ohio is their next “target”.
well, here’s my proposal!!!  let’s provide the farmers with their own area to farm however they see fit.. BUT.  to get there, let’s ship them via train or truck with the same provisions as they ship their ‘units of production’ and see how that turns out.

this is not a worse cause scenario.  this is normal.  everyday.  forever.  unless we stop it.
